Lenzetto
Lenzetto
Lenzetto is a transdermal oestrogen spray that delivers body-identical estradiol through the skin to relieve the symptoms of menopause. Each metered-dose spray applies a precise amount of estradiol directly to the skin of the inner forearm, where it is absorbed into the bloodstream. It is suitable for perimenopausal and postmenopausal women experiencing systemic menopause symptoms, and must be used alongside a progestogen by women who have a uterus.

What is Lenzetto?
Lenzetto contains estradiol 1.53mg per spray and is applied to the skin once daily, with one to three sprays used depending on the dose prescribed. It works by delivering oestrogen transdermally directly through the skin and into the circulation bypassing the digestive system and liver entirely. This route of administration is associated with a more favourable safety profile than oral oestrogen, particularly in relation to cardiovascular risk, and is consistent with NICE NG23 (2024) guidance on preferred routes of delivery. Lenzetto is a flexible treatment: the dose can be adjusted by your clinician to find the level that controls your symptoms effectively.
Benefits of Lenzetto
Lenzetto delivers systemic oestrogen replacement to address the full range of menopause symptoms, with the added advantages of a transdermal route and a flexible, adjustable dose. Many women begin to notice an improvement in symptoms, particularly hot flushes and sleep, within two to four weeks, with full benefits typically seen after around three months of regular use. A multicenter clinical trial found statistically significant reductions in menopause symptom severity scores after 12 weeks of treatment, with further improvement at 24 weeks.
Symptoms this treatment addresses:
- Hot flushes and night sweats
- Sleep disturbance and fatigue
- Mood changes and irritability
- Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
- Reduced libido
- Vaginal dryness or discomfort
- Joint aches and muscle discomfort
- Bone health support when started around the time of menopause
How to use Lenzetto

Potential side effects of Lenzetto
As with all HRT, some women experience adjustment symptoms during the first weeks as the body adapts to a new hormone level.
