What is Femoston?
Femoston is a combined HRT containing estradiol, a body-identical oestrogen that is chemically the same as the oestrogen naturally produced by the body, combined with dydrogesterone, a synthetic progestogen.
As a tablet, Femoston provides daily hormone replacement in a convenient once-daily dose. Different formulations provide either sequential or continuous hormone delivery depending on your menopausal status.
Femoston is a popular choice among combined HRT options due to its body-identical oestrogen, once-daily dosing, flexible formulations for different menopausal stages, and the option for either monthly bleeding or bleed-free treatment.
Benefits of Femoston
Femoston is an all-in-one HRT tablet containing both oestrogen and progestogen, so there is nothing else to take alongside it. It comes in different formulations to suit different stages of menopause, some produce a monthly bleed, others are bleed-free. By restoring declining hormone levels, Femoston can significantly reduce:
- Hot flushes and night sweats
- Low mood, anxiety, or irritability
- Sleep disturbance and fatigue
- Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
- Reduced libido
- Vaginal dryness
- Joint aches and muscle discomfort
- Bone health support when started around the time of menopause
How to use Femoston
Take one Femoston tablet at the same time each day, swallowed whole with water. For sequential formulations, follow the numbered pack order without skipping tablets. Start a new pack immediately after finishing the previous one, do not take a break between packs. Femoston can be taken with or without food.

Side effects of Femoston
As with all forms of HRT, some women experience adjustment symptoms during the first weeks as the body adapts to change in hormone levels.
