What Is Evorel Conti?
Evorel Conti is a continuous combined hormone replacement therapy (HRT) patch used to relieve common symptoms of menopause. It is typically prescribed for women who are postmenopausal, meaning it has been 12 months or more since your last natural period.
The patch contains two hormones: estradiol (a body-identical form of oestrogen) and norethisterone acetate (a synthetic progestogen). You apply it to the skin and change it twice weekly, allowing the hormones to be absorbed gradually into your bloodstream.
How Evorel Conti Works
Evorel Conti delivers a steady, low dose of hormones transdermally (through the skin), which helps maintain more stable hormone levels compared to tablets.
- The oestrogen component (estradiol) replaces the hormone your body no longer produces in sufficient amounts, helping to relieve symptoms such as hot flushes, sleep problems, and vaginal dryness.
- The progestogen (norethisterone acetate) protects the lining of the uterus (endometrium) from becoming too thick, a known risk when oestrogen is used on its own and the womb is still present.
Because Evorel Conti is a continuous combined preparation, you use it every day without a break, and most women eventually stop having bleeding altogether.

Benefits of Evorel Conti
Evorel Conti helps relieve a wide range of symptoms related to low oestrogen.
Most people begin to notice an improvement within 2–4 weeks, with full benefits usually experienced by around 3 months.
Because Evorel Conti is continuous combined HRT, monthly bleeding usually stops within a few months. Some people may experience light or irregular bleeding at first, but this generally settles.
