Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) cost

Curious about the cost of testosterone replacement therapy? Here’s what to expect from Voy’s treatment programme, so you can plan with confidence.

Low testosterone can sap your energy, kill your sex drive and make it harder to build muscle. Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a proven treatment that restores your hormone levels, helping you feel stronger, more focused and back in control. It has also been shown to reduce the risk of various other medical conditions and can actually improve long-term health outcomes.

But how much does TRT cost in the UK? Understandably, it’s one of the first questions men ask when considering treatment.

At Voy, we’ve built our packages to be transparent and rooted in medical best practice, so you know exactly what you’re getting and why it matters.

Shows how TRT costs are made up of treatment, monitoring and medical paperwork.

How much does TRT cost?

The price of private testosterone replacement therapy per month depends on your treatment provider.

TRT at Voy starts at just £99 per month.

A Voy TRT subscription covers:

  • Medication
  • Follow-up consultations with your doctor
  • Ongoing medical support
  • GP letters and correspondence
  • Injection supplies
  • Monitoring blood tests
  • Clinic visits where needed
  • Referrals
  • Postage

Most clinics in the UK charge separately for many of these essentials. We don’t. There’s no hidden fees or surprise bills in our treatment plans. Just expert care.

Our first-in-class technology ensures you never miss a blood test and always have medication on hand, while our portal and upcoming app give you direct access to health insights and resources.

If you get TRT on the NHS, you’ll pay the standard NHS prescription charge, which is currently £9.90 per item. But NHS TRT treatment options are more limited compared to going private, and it can be a postcode lottery (see our FAQs section for more info about this).

Initial consultation costs at Voy

At Voy, we’ve streamlined our TRT process so you can move from first test to treatment with confidence, without unnecessary delays or hidden costs.

Testosterone blood test (£55 £33.95 first order discount)

Getting started with TRT is simple. Order a quick at-home finger-prick blood test, and our clinicians will use the result to confirm whether you have low testosterone. Following national guidelines, we need a second more enhanced test to confirm that the low reading wasn’t a one-off and that TRT is the right fit for you.

Next, a specialist TRT doctor will walk you through your results and treatment options (if applicable) so you can take action.

Remote consultation (£79.95)

One of our clinicians will review your unique situation, health history and pre-treatment blood test results to confirm whether TRT is right for you.

Transfer consultation (£70.00)

If you’re already on a course of TRT with another provider, but want to move your care to Voy, it’s a straightforward process. You’ll want a transfer consultation at a discounted price of £70.00.

Add ons

Some men need additional support to maintain their fertility or manage hormone balance. Your doctor will discuss these options with you during your initial consultation.

HCG

HCG is often used in conjunction with TRT to maintain fertility, natural testosterone production and testicle size. It’s already included in our combined subscriptions.

Oestrogen-controlling medication

Oestrogen blockers are sometimes necessary for men prone to higher oestrogen levels. Your clinician will let you know if this treatment is a good option for you during your initial consultation.

Oestrogen-controlling medication at Voy costs £30 for a pack that lasts for a year.

Tadalafil

Tadalafil has a variety of benefits for men with low testosterone. It can help with erections, heart health, prostate health and even hormone balance. It is recommended in guidelines for treating men with low testosterone and your doctor may suggest it if they think you would benefit.

TRT blood tests

Regular blood tests are essential for safe and effective TRT. Blood tests allow your doctor to check your hormone levels before starting treatment and ensure you stay on track during your plan.

Blood test schedule:

  • Before treatment: Initial testosterone test and enhanced blood panel
  • Monitoring: 6 weeks (optional), 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, then every 6 months

FYI your pre-treatment blood test isn’t included in your monthly subscription. But once you’ve set up your Voy plan, all monitoring blood tests (and any necessary clinic visits) are covered. After each blood test, you’ll receive direct feedback from your doctor.

Feeling drained and unfocused?
It might be low testosterone. Get answers fast with an at-home blood test.

GP letters and correspondence

Keeping your GP in the loop is important when you start TRT. Most doctor’s letters are included in your subscription. Only in rare cases - such as complex reports - will there be a small additional charge.

Got questions? Don’t hesitate to reach out about how to get started with TRT at Voy.

Get started with TRT today

TRT is the most effective method of improving testosterone levels. But the cost is about more than medication. Consultations, blood tests and ongoing support all matter. If they’re not included in your provider’s plan, you’ll end up paying more in the long run.

At Voy, you’re choosing a provider that’s transparent, comprehensive and medically led, so you know your treatment is safe, effective and delivering real value.

Wondering if low testosterone is holding you back? Take our short quiz to see if TRT could help you get back to feeling your best.
